The aim of the research was to identify problems concerning workplace stress during the COVID-19 pandemic, including those related to the applied stress management strategies. The research conducted in the article was based on quantitative secondary data and analysis of available source literature. Research methods adopted in the article include: critical analysis of source literature and an analysis of secondary data. The aim of the article is to discuss the phenomenon of stress in the workplace during the pandemic, to indicate the methods of dealing with stress in an organisation during the pandemic and to identify the symptoms of work-related stress.

The following research question was formed in the paper: do employees experience additional stress in the workplace during the COVID-19 pandemic and do they have an opportunity to cope with stressful situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in their organisation?

The analysis and assessment carried out in the article indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences causes social trauma and extreme stress related to a work situation which is not handled well by many employees. Taking appropriate precautions to protect and maintain physical health in the workplace can help to relieve the stress and anxiety which may be associated with COVID-19.

The results obtained may be used to develop programmes to effekt stress at work to counter the effects of the crisis in organisations.
